Dyson dc04 brushroll stops when it hits the carpet

I have this old dc04 for hoovering the carpets upstairs in my house and if the brush roll is on the floor and the vac inst moving it stops is it belt or clutch?

The belts are attached to the clutch, so it is one or the other.

Either way, you need to do this to check/replace the belt
