DC50 / DC50 ERP Heads
« on: May 17, 2017, 05:27:46 PM »
The yoke fittings for the DC50 and DC50 ERP heads are the same.

Even though they fit, are they interchangeable between the two models?

The PCB differs so we haven't actually tried it.

Would like to know though.  ;D

I know, I dare not try it as I don't want to fry anything!

I think a quick litmus test would be to check the specs on the motor for the same voltage/amperage.

Not sure, however, if it helps I've tried a DC41 Mk2/ERP head on a normal DC41 Animal (1300w) and it worked fine! ;D
DC14s are tanks, just need a slightly longer motor life. Do plastic parts often break on DC14s? Nope. DC41- Sexy looking futuristic and powerful machine. Just needs a better designed cleaner head wheel and cyclone clip along with a dense metal rod in the chassis.

I'd be surprised if the internals differ, isn't the main change with the molding of the baseplate, with less air channels, the felt stuff and the min/max slider which locks the articulating head, all to fool the EU ratings test into giving a better reading (As per the other thread)

Obv don't blame me if they are different...
