My Mum's Sebo has finally stopped working. It's had some minor issues with the power cutting out over the last few weeks, and now it's stopped completely. It's over 10 years old so it's not a huge surprise, but it's a disappointment. I'm not sure whether the issue is with the switch on the handle or the power cable itself. I did a quick dismantle of the handle to see if there's anything obviously broken in the switch or signs of burning but nothing. Given the way that the cable is coiled my suspicion is that the cable is the fault, but is there any way to easily check? I'm guessing that I could just try and wire a replacement power cable with the switch out of the handle or I could try connecting the power cable to something else? I don't have access to any testing equipment, so I'm trying to find a safe and simple way to test some things before I bite the bullet and order a new handle - I think £48 online! Thanks for any suggestions.
