hose connector reattachment

HI,
the yellow connector sleeve at the wand end has become detached from the silver hose; I can't see any indication of how it was attached; does anyone know how to reattach it before I shell out for a new one i.e. what glue to use or what heating method or something? thank you

Unfortunately its a replacement hose for that machine,
