Author Topic: Dyson Discontinue Support and Parts Supply for the DC01 and DC02 (Read 9734 times)

Today, I located a source of after-market wands for Dyson DC01's. I always like to make sure we are cheaper than Dyson and competitors so I went to the Dyson website to see what they charge for a DC01 wand. I was surprised to see this message:

Important Notice

Dyson machines are built to last. However, from the beginning of July 2011 we will no longer be able to supply spare parts, or carry out service or repairs for DC01 and DC02 machines.

There are still many thousands of DC01's out there, so if you have one there is no need to worry. We will continue to carry everything for them. And now, we have brand new wands at £29.99 including delivery.

I am having difficulty finding YDK motors and fixed sole plates for DC01's new now. Nobody seems to have them in stock any more and Dyson wont supply them.

Indeed. We have some used YDK DC01 motors and I think *one* fixed sole plate left - also used. Everything else we have.

New DC01 brushrolls are getting very low now. They have been on *backorder* since before Christmas, and my bet is they will never arrive, as the ones we have we believe to be OEM and the factory isn't making them for Dyson now.

On the bright side, we have several boxes of used ones still, and we can now get the bearings for them. So when we run out of brushrolls, we will put bearings and used brushrolls on the page instead.

We are out of both now as per our news post here.
