hi ,
my Dyson DC 14 vac since yesterday is not able to hold the cyclone bin in position, the big red button on top is loose and it does not seem to lock the bin in position, i have to lift the bin slightly up for it to lock.
do i have to buy a new Cyclone release catch, or the spring has gone out of its position.
how do i open it and fix.
thanks

PS its not the bin latch button pressed to open the bin cover to empty it.

Is there anything visibly broken there?

Nothing seems to be broken ,
Looks like the bin has slid down ,I have to slightly lift the bin.up.and then it locks in.
Do I have to open it to check / fix
And how do I do this
Is it a spring missing or something else I'm looking for
It all started after I lifted the vac from the bin handle ,when it felt loose .
The red button to release the bin has gone fiddly ,which has to be maneuvered to lock

Can you post a photo of the release button area and also the part of the chassis it clips to?
