DC17 Motor Cover Assemblies 911280-2 -- Info Please?
« on: November 18, 2010, 10:55:12 PM »
We were asked today for some motor cover assemblies for a US model DC17, part number 911280-2.

Anyone know if they are the same as a DC14 or any other model? As the DC17 is not a UK model, our info is a bit patchy.

HI busy working on a dc17 at the moment.
They use a completely differant cover and motor , the dc17 has a separate motor to drive the brush roll( like the dc25)
It used a Panasonic motor similar to that used in the dc25 for vacuum

I am trying to find my parts diagram to send to you.
It is similar to the UK model dc27 although that uses just one motor ( same as the dc14 )

Yes you will but not dyson Uk dyson USA
We needed some parts but dysonUK told me "Dyson UK does not stock parts for the USA models"
We ended up getting a second hand machine on Ebay and stripping it for parts.
this seems to be a very popular model in the USA as most people returning from there have one.
