Replace switch hose
« on: January 23, 2012, 07:26:44 PM »
Hi,
Had a blockage in my DC25 switch hose. Managed to get the switch hose out and cleared the blockage, which was a needle!  Thankfully, it hadn't pierced the hose itself, but for the life of me I cannot get the damned hose back in!  I cannot seem to get the 2 'lugs' to fit back in their respective holes. Extremely fiddley!  Can anyone suggest how to do this. I'm definately doing something wrong here?  Not the easiest of the hose pieces to work with.  Wondering if I'm supposed to remove some other part before placing back in?  The Dyson User Manual is useless as it doesn't show you how To do this.  Many thanks. Daisy.

I don't remember having any problems putting the hose back on my DC25 - have you tried removing the cyclone unit first and then you get a good view where both clips locate? A gentle push and it should click nicely back into place.

Hi

Many thanks for your advice.  I've just went and had another go at this and managed it this time round.  :icon_nod: It is extremely fiddely but perhaps I am in a calmer frame of mind today. lol   Hopefully I won't need to do that again anytime soon.  :grinn:

Thanks again for your advice.
Daisy
