brush bar
« on: January 12, 2013, 09:23:58 pm »
Hi,
My £6 dyson dc01 has been working a treat untill the wife long hairs got in to a end of the brush bar and melted the plastic cap.
So I bought another dc01 for 99p but the brush is different.
Now after reading up on the dc01 I see the two types are very different and my good dyson has the fixed head type.
No problem I thought, but finding the right brush bar on the cheap has not been very successful so far.
Early dc01 parts are getting hard to find I see, anyway I think I've got one sorted so Henry can go back to standby duty.
I've got my eye on a airblade and a AM04 to finish my dyson line up.
 ;)

The ones we sell fit all variants. Three different sets of ends come with them.  ;)

I picked up another dc01 for £1 off ebay,a fixed head the same as my good one.
So that's a total of 3 dc01 I now own.
I fitted the brush bar in to my good machine and it's now back in action. ;)
The brush bar looks to be a different design in the way the end caps fix to the shaft (deeper inset bearings and caps) so it might be better.
My old brush bar had thin end caps with dust seals, this is where long hair can get in and melt the plastic end caps.
All so bought a very good condition henry, about a year old to replace my old henry.
The new one is two speed so that's probably the part which will let it down in the future. :(
Still looking for a cheap Dyson fan heater and airblade. ;D

I couldn't get a cheap fan heater, so I got a new one. Goes with my Airblade.

We can supply them twenty quid or so cheaper than Amazon or eBay I think. That will be a white one though. Blue ones are backordered.

Dyson have a tight grip on the supply of fans and Hots. Trade discounts are minimal.
