DC15 valve seal problem
« on: March 29, 2013, 08:21:52 AM »
My DC15 valve pipe does not rotate when I release the cleaner head and pull back the handle , so the valve seal doesn't move across and seal. Any ideas?

Take off the cover below the valve pipe. Look for this mechanism.

The black plastic actuator secured by screw A, pushes the grey arm (B). Sometimes the screw (A) works loose and causes what you describe.

In any event, the problem is between those two parts.
