How to replace DC15 motor
« on: July 06, 2013, 02:56:48 AM »
Hi all,

Been asked to look at a DC15 for a friend that they believe has a blown motor. I've had a quick look and taken a few screws out etc. and can't see a way to get to it. I know the motor is inside the ball but cannot for the life of me see how to get the brushbar etc. out of the way to get to the ball.

Any help anyone can give would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Mark

So first you want to know how to get the cleaner head off?

I could do with knowing the whole procedure to be honest. It's a little bit different from the DC14 I've worked on before, due to the ball I'm guessing.

Kind Regards,

Mark

Nobody has done a guide for that that I know of.

If we are quiet enough on Tuesday (as Monday is manic), I'll try to do you a few pics to get you started as we have one we need to strip down. It will be good to have it here anyway.
