The World's #1 Vacuum Cleaner Advice, Repair, Discussion & Information Forum
As the title states, I'm curious if any of you (especially those of you at shops) have run into a bug infestation when fixing vacuums. I started trolling craigslist as well as other swap sites looking for cheap Dysons to fix and it wasn't long before my wife raised the concern of beg bugs/lice/roaches/fleas in the machines. I'm a homeowner with two very small children, so that's a scary thought... I would have to flip 10 Dysons to pay the exterminator!
Beko1987 on this forum had a Miele vacuum and when he took out the bag there was a massive rat which ran out, and it gave birth to 3 mice inside the bag compartment I had a DC14 Blitz it off eBay with a blown motor. Upon disassembly, I noticed a dead spider in the cleaner head, removed. Then in the motor housing there were two creepy insects which were alive and ran out! They looked like silverfish. Then another one was in there as well, like a 1cm long thing with legs ehhProbs was stored in a shed
