To all new members:

Just so we know what is working, could you let us know how you found us? Maybe Google? (if so, do you remember what you typed in there?) Maybe you found us from a link from another site or forum? (if so, which one?) etc.

It would help us if we knew how you found us so we could target our membership drive. Just hit the reply button below and tell us.

If you are reading this as a guest, why not sign up and tell us and say hello?

Hello,
My name is Eric, I am 76 years old and have eventually retired 1
I was trying to figure out how to repair our DC)03 which has lost drive to the brush wheel.
I was searching for a contact or advice and found this site.
I am pleased to have found you - but I am still unsure how the site works or whether I have to pay anything ? ? ?    Any comments would be welcome.
Regards
Eric

Hello Eric, nothing to pay on the forum.

There's a clutch refurb/repair topic here you might find of use, it's not a DC03 clutch but they are very similar. Look here: https://manchestervacs.co.uk/DysonForum/index.php/topic,748.0.html

Hello,
I knew about this forum a couple of years ago by chance. Just watched youtube about changing WM bearings, that guy did dyson refurbs as well, so I looked for info about dysons out of curiosity and discovered this site. Then use it for information about different Dyson models when they're were on Gumtree, but really never had dysons by myself.
Recently I got dc07 (freebies) without suction, scratched and filthy and decided to try to refub it. Mostly I was interested in this process itself, not in a result as I already had 2 hoovers.
Just couldn't send it to skip, it was so lovely!
My Dyson had some problems: huge crack in bin flap, hole in an internal hose, old clutch with overstretched belts, no rope seal in soleplate, so no wonder that there wasn't  any suction.
That's when your site came very handy (to get parts) plus watched youtube clips from forum's members (Beko, Parwaz, Alec...Thanks guys , it was very helpful).
Refurb was successful and now it's my main hoover.
Only a small problem is left, I'm going to sort it out later.

Hello all. General searches looking for parts and repair advice kept leading me here, mostly use Sebos and a couple of Dysons, I think this has the most useful information in one place out of everything I've found. Cheers.

Good morning from Canada
I fortunately found you via a rabbit hole in Google. I have been searching for options to fix or replace a broken/shorted wire in the handle / hose of my Dyson DC46.
I admit though i wasn't looking specifically for a vacuum forum as others have mentioned.
It seems you have alot of knowledge here so thank you for putting in the time and energy to keep the resource alive. It is appreciated.
Thank you
