No power to head unit.....no voltage at 2 contacts on main body so I assume new body is the only way to repair?  is this correct?

If you mean the two contacts on the body itself behind the bin, yes.

Hmmm now realised that if I have the head at 90 deg and squeeze the wheels it will run.... :'(
