Good evening, Brits. It's me, your cool American cousin. You can tell my vacuums are American because they're all powered by gasoline and traumatic brain injury.
I bought a UP24 from overseas with the plan to convert it to a hotrod 120V motor using scrap parts from trash-picked DC40s and DC50s. My question is: What is the actual form factor of the motor? Does it closely match the predecessors in the DC41-Ball-Ball2 line (130-150 mm), or is it more like a DC40 or DC50 miniature (108 mm) body? From what I'm learning online, it should be a 700W DC40/50-like motor, but I just want to be sure I'm ready. I have a 40, 41 and 50 motor onhand, but I'd prefer to sacrifice the 41 because the chassis is trashed.
Secondly, does it share a brushbar PCB form factor with any of the other models? I'm guessing it uses a DC41-like board based on the size of the ball, but I want to be sure.
If anyone has these parts lying around and could provide pictures and measurements, I'd be hugely thankful. I'll share the project here as I work.
