vax brushbar bearings

I have a Vax Impact 504 Reach with a seized brushbar, just wondering if you can service / change the bearings like you can on a dyson. reason i am asking is i dont want to break the plastic edges trying to get it apart if its not serviceable. its all good other than that and its a shame to write it off for the want of a brushbar
