The next difference is how the cyclone comes apart, and also the new stuff! The shroud pops down REALLY easily, far more so than the older ones. Under there is a trapdoor
A new PCB and sensor! PCB unscrews and gently lifts up until you can see the connectors to unplug. Connectors only go in their places which is nice, no having to remember anything
Crap picture but you can just about read the big chip (LPC5528?)
Then the tiny microphone! Which sits under a plastic holder then a spring, nothing too tricky tbh
These have come on a long way since Hoover used them in the 1990's for the Autosense feature on Turbopower 2's and Purepowers!
However, the wiring loom needs to come up and out from the bottom, which is highly annoying and I don't know how to release the bottom tool connector... So it all got a good airline off and I washed what I could, but if anyone knows how to do the connector, you'll have an easier time!
I then filmed it going back together
Floorhead was awful too, these are going to be a b@stard to clean! One of the 'teeth' was snapped off too in no surprise for anyone
But hopefully this helps anyone needing to dive into one. Lots of room for improvement and I'm sure once I've done 20 or 30 in a few years I can look back on this and laugh, but meh, their still too new for that!
