Is it possible to fix my DC11?
« on: November 03, 2023, 05:51:53 pm »
Hi,
My DC11 (all floors) has a broken lever and I wondered if it's possible to replace without replacing the whole cyclone assembly.  The lever is on the cyclone assembly sitting below the parking yoke.  It's used for releasing the cyclone assembly from the main unit.  The lever broke and I was hoping it would be a quick job to replace it, but I'm not finding any spare parts except to purchase a new cyclone assembly.
Any advice welcome.
Thanks!

Can you post a photo of the part you need?

Alternatively, we do have a good used DC11 cyclone assembly.

Thanks very much for the quick reply.

After logging my issue it occurred to me to search for a refurbished or used cylinder assembly.  I have ordered one and we'll see how I get on with that.  If that fails, I will certainly contact you.

Thanks again.

PS.  This is a brilliant forum - I own a number of Dysons and I have friends with Dysons, so it helps to have a go-to place for advice and parts.  Much appreciation!
