Alternative hoses
« on: December 29, 2023, 03:41:10 pm »
I need replacement hose for a DC08 and I’m led to believe the hose from later models can be fitted. When I say fitted, I’m guessing it may be a case of re-purposed….that’s to say the existing ends and the mounting bracket may need to be swapped.
Has anyone done this?
I can see hoses up to DC21, and maybe even some models at 23 that may have the same hose, just the hose again utilising the existing ends and bracket.

According to Google, the parts are compatible with DC05, DC08, DC11, DC19, DC20, DC21 and DC29 models….is that corr3ct?

eBay is full of used DC08 hoses. I'd get one from there.

The added complication with DC08's is they changed the tool connectors 2/3 times during the run. The hose and machine end connection should be the same across all of them, you just need the tools end that matches your existing tools (or find an entire hose wand and floorhead on ebay)
