DC75 head issue

Hi all,

New to the forums, thanks for having me 

I have a dc75 which the brushbar has decided to stop spinning. I have tried the head from my DC40 and that didn't work on it either so guess there is some other fault.

Is this common and has anyone experienced this and could point me in the right direction?

also just tried head from my other dc7 and that didn't work in it either

So that is telling you that there is no power to the head. Did you try swapping the other way: i.e. suspect head on known good body?
Then you need to check the DC output to the head terminals on the body with a multimeter. usually around 300V DC. If no power there, which seems to be the case, then it's either a broken loom, blown PCB, or faulty switch. Follow the wiring path back up and test the continuity at each stage.
